“The Madonna with Saint Giovannino”, 15th century by Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1494)

Throughout our history, we have been writing, drawing, and painting what we see in the world around us. As a species, we have been documenting our reality for centuries, leaving a rich repository of information. These records and art are littered with evidence supporting the probability of intelligent, or intelligently controlled, physical objects moving about in the skies, and I’m not speaking about birds or flying, winged dinosaurs. Some of the earliest paintings contain what appear to be saucer, or otherwise unusually shaped, aerial objects in the sky; and some religious and sacred writings depict Gods or physical beings appearing to wage battle in the skies with one another. Artists have been inspired, placing unknown objects in their paintings throughout history, begging the question – what inspired these shapes and objects? Furthermore, does the fact that these paintings survived for so long infer that the populace, at that time, was aware or accustomed to these aerial phenomena?

Considering ourselves to be more educated than our ancestors, we apply the scientific method in  an attempt to uncover the truths behind those events our ancestors observed so long ago. The scientific method in our investigations requires a quantity of accurately observed and documented information to give us useful or viable results. The results obtained through the investigation process are directly proportional to the data fed into it. If we only have low quality information available to us, we can expect the same caliber of results from the investigation.

The data we have available through our historical records offer us precious little information for our scientific method to produce what most would consider to be viable information. At the time of writing this article, Georgia had received and investigated 298 reports of events that occurred in the last 20 years that were found to be classified as unknown. Today, we know little more from the activities in the last two decades than the events documented for us over 1,000 years ago. At the next Georgia MUFON meeting in Tucker, we will endeavor to find a way to change this.

You are invited to join us and collaborate at our next meeting, as we begin the review process. Together, we will identify what we are able to learn of the phenomena, using our current methods and processes, what information we want to gain from investigations, and we will ask the questions: why do we want this information, and, what, as a society, will we do with this knowledge? As a group, we will put together a road-map to reassess our current investigation process. We will start to examine what data will be required to answer these questions and what resources and processes will be needed to collect and analyze this data. Lastly, we will consider how these processes can be incorporated in our current investigations, and, equally important, the ways and means to secure the resources required.

If we are able to achieve our goals above, we will have the framework to enable us the ability to increase what we learn through investigations of UFO reports, if the data needed is available. Data availability is, of course, going to be the crux of our efforts to increasing our knowledge about the phenomena. The challenges we will face include: our receiving quality reports, having the man-power to investigate the reports that come in, and working with witnesses who have accurately observed and noted useful information for the investigation processes. After developing a complete process and identifying our needs, requirements and challenges, Georgia MUFON will develop public awareness campaigns to foster education of the public with the goal of improving our investigations and gaining the knowledge about the phenomena we are looking for.

Our group will meet next on May 5, 2018. As always our meeting is free and open to the public although donations are gladly accepted.

LOCATION: Reid H. Cofer (Tucker) Library, 5234 Lavista Rd, Tucker, GA 30084

TIME: Check-in starts at 1:30, Meeting at 2:00 PM

As our main presentation, we are delighted to welcome via remote feed and the wonders of the Internet, author Michael Schratt. His presentation, “Inside the Black World (Exposing the “Silver Bullet” technology),” will be a highly illustrated lecture specifically making the case for the existence of a “Secret Space Program” which bypasses congressional oversight. Topics will include: USO’s (Unidentified Submerged Objects), the September 1958 USS Franklin D. Roosevelt UFO encounter, military pilot UFO encounters during 1952, “Aurora” test flight schedule, 1982-1989 Hudson Valley Boomerang, 1989 Belgium Triangle case, Massive update on Black Triangles, The Ben Rich/John Andrews connection, Military aircraft procurement and your tax-dollars, The so called “Black Budget,” Classified Project Code names, The infamous A-12 Avenger II fiasco and what really happened, F-35 cost over-runs, Northrop B-2 Stealth Bomber, Toxic burn pits at Area 51 exposed, New building expansion at Area 51, The March 13, 1997 Phoenix lights case, legacy of anti-gravity research and the military industrial complex, and a “Build your own UFO extravaganza.” In addition, everyone tuning into the live stream will receive multiple “freebies.” Strap in and prepare yourself for a non-holds-barred, shoot-from-the-hip presentation which is sure to cause even government “spook groups” to run for cover.

Michael Schratt is a private pilot and military aerospace historian who has lectured across the country on the unique subject of “Mystery Aircraft,” and classified propulsion systems buried deep within the military industrial complex. He has developed a number of contacts which have had first-hand experience dealing classified “black programs,” including former USAF pilots, retired Naval personnel, and aerospace engineers who have maintained a TOP SECRET SCI security clearance. Michael currently works as a SolidWorks draftsman in San Jose CA. In an effort to expose government fraud, waste and abuse, Michael devotes much of his free time researching aerospace technical documents, conducting interviews, and travelling to multiple University archives. As a concerned citizen, it’s his belief that it is our Constitutional obligation to question authority, and demand an accounting of special access programs that bypass congressional oversight and public scrutiny.

Our Agenda will begin with a quick introduction to MUFON followed by an update on interesting UFO report investigations from Georgia given by MUFON Field Investigators and/or, the State Director or Chief Investigator. After that we will move into our main presentation. If time allows, which it usually does, we’ll have enough time for our usual open-ended ‘questions and discussion’ period. As always this can include Attendees’ own sightings or experiences. Anyone wishing to share a viewpoint or experience with the group will have an open-minded and respectful audience. We hope you will join us on May 5th!

MEETING: GEORGIA MUFON, MEETUP: Linda Zimmerman

By

WHEN: Saturday January 27, 2018, 2:00 – 4:45 PM (Check-in starting at 1:30)
WHERE: Reid H. Cofer (Tucker) Public Library, 5234 LaVista Road, Tucker GA 30084

Georgia MUFON / Georgia MUFON Meetup will meet on January 27, 2018. The meeting is free and open to the public although donations are gladly accepted. As our main presentation, we are delighted to welcome via remote feed and the wonders of the Internet, author Linda Zimmerman. Linda’s presentation will focus on UFO sightings in the Hudson Valley of New York, about which she has authored two acclaimed books. Long-time UFO students know about the incredible Hudson Valley sightings of the early 1980s, witnessed by hundreds (possibly thousands) and photographed and videotaped by many. But Zimmerman found that sightings go back to at least 1908, and that they’ve continued to the present day. Her second book on these sightings, More Hudson Valley UFOs, was just released this past May (2017). January’s presentation will provide an introduction to the area’s incredible sightings, to include general background info so that everyone is brought “up to speed” on the valley’s remarkable UFOs. In addition to the UFOs of the Hudson Valley, Ms. Zimmerman has researched and written about paranormal topics such as ghosts, haunted places, Bigfoot, and mysterious ancient stone sites. Her UFO books (Hudson Valley UFOs, More Hudson Valley UFOs) are available through Amazon, while her other books are available from her website, http://www.gotozim.com.

Our Agenda will begin with a quick introduction to MUFON followed by an update on interesting UFO report investigations from Georgia given by MUFON Field Investigators and the State Director or Asst. State Director, after which we will move into our main presentation. Afterwards, we plan to save enough time to allow for our usual open-ended ‘questions and discussion’ period. As always this can include Attendees’ own sightings or experiences. Anyone wishing to share a viewpoint or experience with the group is encouraged to do so. Our intent is to maintain an open-minded and respectful creative space for exploration of all things UFO-related. We hope many of you will join us on January 27!

Meeting: Georgia MUFON, Meetup

By

WHEN: Sat. October 21, 2017 – 2:00 – 4:45 PM (Check-in starting at 1:30)
WHERE: Reid H. Cofer (Tucker) Public Library, 5234 LaVista Road, Tucker GA 30084

Our group will meet again on Sat. afternoon Oct. 21, in Tucker. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our Agenda will include an update on interesting UFO report investigations from Georgia MUFON Field Investigators and the State Director, after which we will move into discussion of our main topic. Afterwards, we espect the conversation will move into related but more open-ended questions and discussions, as it usually does, which may include Attendees’ own sightings or experiences. Anyone wishing to share a viewpoint or experience with the group is encouraged to do so. Our intent is to maintain an open-minded and respectful creative space for exploration of all things UFO-related.

Our main topic will be one not often discussed these days: PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO OF UFOs. Since we seem to have a “real” phenomenon on our hands, and most of us with cell phones IN hand, why is it that photos and videos don’t provide better evidence for UFOs? There are, to be sure, many photos and some videos out there that appear to be “legitimate” and show unknown objects. Yet many more, by far the majority, do not. Why is this the case? Georgia MUFON is fortunate to have an FI skilled at photo- and video-analysis, and we’ve asked him to speak to the group about how such evidence is studied, what kinds of information it can and cannot provide, and the strengths and weaknesses MUFON finds in such evidence. One outcome or benefit of this discussion may well be, that You, our Attendees, are more prepared than most folks to accurately document something incredible. If you’re interested in UFOs, this should interest you!

So join us on the 21st if you’d like to contribute some ideas and hear those of others, as well some guidelines from the experienced investigators of Georgia MUFON. It always seems to make for an enjoyable afternoon! See you on the 21st.
